Supervising Bishops and BOG

Friday February 2, 2018 was another day of celebration as Igbobi College, Yaba clocked 86.

The renowned college, formed in 1932 and co-owned by the Anglican and Methodist missions in Nigeria, held a Holy Communion service at the Rev Canon Parker Memorial Chapel to mark the occasion. Present at the service were the supervising Bishops of both missions, Right Reverend Stephen Adegbite of the Methodist Church and Right Reverend Akinpelu Johnson of the Anglican Church. Also present were past presidents of ICOBA, President and members of the National Executive Council of ICOBA and members of the college’s Board of Governors as well as students, staff and management of the college.

Igbobi College has, in its illustrious history, produced many prominent Nigerians, both living and departed. Notable amongst them now is the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Oluyemi Osinbajo, GCON, former Lagos State governor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, Executive Chairman of FIRS, Mr Tunde Fowler, former VC of Unilag, Professor Ibidapo Obe, former VC of University of Ibadan, Professor Ayo Banjo, the late Olorogun Alex and Michael Ibru, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, Chief Olu Falae and a host of others.
